We are a very small learning community with just over 50 students in each of the four year groups (200 students) in total. Our class sizes tend to be smaller than average. All of our students have chosen to come here because they are interested in and want to specialise in science and engineering. Our results our significantly ahead of national average.
The staff team are hardworking, friendly and supportive and totally committed to making a success of the UTC. Finding the right person to join our team is more important than the subject specialism that he or she offers. We are fortunate that within the science team we have specialists in all three disciplines and would be able to adjust our timetables to meet the needs of the students. There are six teachers in the science faculty. At present we don’t have a second in faculty. There is a possibility of this position coming with a TLR for a suitably experienced candidate.
