Lincoln UTC Students Are Live On BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Lincoln UTC is a huge supporter of the Radio Station, BBC Radio Lincolnshire. Especially a key feature through Nicola Gilroy’s Show, from 12.00pm until 1.00pm, Nicola invites local members of the Lincolnshire community to sit and talk live through the lunchtime slot. Debating trending topics, key news items and a wild card piece; Nicola makes for a fast paced radio programme.

Indeed, this feature is a favourite of Lincoln UTC’s Principal, Dr Rona Mackenzie, who has been invited a few times to join the lunch time group.

This week however, the Lunch Bunch Group was set to be a little different. In order to recognise all the efforts of Children In Need, where schools and businesses were mobilising around the UK to support the Pudsey cause, Nicola introduced a young presenting group to her hour.

Students, Lewis Brooks, Sophie Marsden and Michael Booley [pictured] had their first taste of Live Radio as special guests on the Children In Need Show. Covering topics for the younger listeners including driving lessons and super heroes. Even if this is being reported by Lincoln UTC, we are not biased at all to say, we certainly had three shining stars in that hour. They all talked confidently and with ease. Lincoln UTC all tuned in and we were all extremely proud of the charisma of this lunch bunch group. Thank you Nicola for giving the team such an amazing opportunity.
