Year 10 business studies students on the Attainment for All programme, yesterday visited Prodrive in Banbury, Oxfordshire to see Aston Martin race cars being prepared ahead of the FIA GT series.

The visit was arranged as part of the Attainment for All programme, which inspires pupils to achieve the highest possible grades in their exams, by highlighting how classroom activities really happen in the workplace.

Eleven students saw Prodrive employees creating electrical wiring lumes for the GT4 Le Mans race cars, repairing carbon fibre parts and rebuilding the 2017 Le Mans 24 hour that won its category which links to the pupils learning in class over the past few weeks.

As well as meeting the Prodrive team and hearing about the qualifications and interests needed to enter a career in motorsport, the group also saw the car that won the Le Mans 24 GTE Pro category at this year’s race.
