The Royal Air Force Association has generously donated funding to Lincoln UTC in order to support students in their pursuit of a career in aviation. The RAFA is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF family. They have generously provided Lincoln UTC students with the opportunity to apply for RAFA Scholarships. These have been designed to provide additional opportunities for students who have demonstrated a passion for aviation and an interest in The Royal Air Force. There are three levels of scholarship, ranging from £150 to £2,500 and the funding will support young aviation enthusiasts to engage in additional activities as they pursue their career dreams.

Dr Rona Mackenzie, Principal of Lincoln UTC, said, “We are absolutely delighted to be collaborating with the Royal Air Force Association and cannot thank them enough for their generous donation. We have many students who wish to pursue a career with the Royal Air Force or in aviation and I know that this scholarship will provide them with unique opportunities to follow their dreams.”

David Prowse, RAFA Director of Membership & Operations, held the distinguished rank of Air Commodore in the Royal Air Force and fully appreciates the wonderful opportunities that both the RAF and this donation will provide for UTC students. David said, “The Royal Air Force Association is proud to be able to support the next generation of aviation engineers. We look forward to selecting and working alongside the successful bursary winners.”
