At Lincoln UTC, we are building strong working partnerships with local and regional industry to develop the next generation of engineers. We are looking for more businesses to join us—organisations ready to nurture emerging talent and help shape their future workforce. Our learners bring curiosity, ambition and developing technical skills, with a real enthusiasm for putting their learning into practice and making a meaningful contribution to your organisation. Through our new engineering apprenticeship programme and Engineering T-Level qualification, we offer two main engineering opportunities to work with us, develop the skills your business needs and build a talent pipeline for Lincolnshire and beyond.
We will be inviting interested businesses in, for a further discussion about your needs and requirements:
Apprenticeship afternoon – Friday 20th November 2026.
T-Level afternoon – Friday 22nd January 2027.
T-Levels at Lincoln UTC
Apprenticeships at Lincoln UTC
- Build your future workforce with Lincoln UTC’s Engineering T-Level specialising in tool making.
- Hosting a learner for two days a week during an agreed placement period, covering at least 315 hours—approximately 45 days—gives your business the opportunity to nurture emerging talent, develop skills relevant to your operations and assess a potential future employee before committing to recruitment.
- Learners bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm, while your team gains valuable mentoring experience. You provide meaningful engineering tasks, a safe working environment, a named supervisor and feedback on progress.
- Unlike the apprenticeship there is no obligation to develop this placement into an apprenticeship, but it is an opportunity to trial young engineers and develop them into productive future employees.
- Together, we can turn classroom learning into practical capability and build a talent pipeline shaped around your business.
