Alumni Visit - Charlie Staines and Harry Barber 

It’s always a pleasure to welcome back our alumni at Lincoln UTC, and last week we had not one but two of our excellent ex-students visit to talk to our Year 13 students about their university experiences.   Product design student Charlie Staines is currently in his 3rd year at the University of Leicester. Charlie visited the students to give them an overview of the two strands of product design delivered at degree level (BSC & BA) and offered an insight into what students can expect at university. Charlie then spent time with each student looking through their individual projects answering queries and offering best practice.

Harry Barber who is now in his 2nd year at Lancaster University studying Physics shared some excellent tips on how to write the perfect UCAS application and offered some advice on interview techniques. Harry also took time to answer questions from students about university life and what to expect. September is a really important time for our Year 13 students who are planning on going to university, with UCAS applications currently in progress the visit from Charlie and Harry was appreciated by everyone!
