New Year Welcome

Welcome back and welcome to 2017

2016 was a tumultuous year, the media too often bringing tragedy into our homes, political drama polarising opinions whilst doom and gloom seemed to be the economic theme. Yet life went on. Lincoln UTC students excelled in the summer examinations and continued to thrive as a new academic year began.

I am delighted to be the Interim Principal, welcoming a full complement of teachers and staff back into school to begin 2017 with renewed vigour and sense of purpose. We have a singular purpose: to help every student achieve their potential and be successful. Mock examinations for Year 11 students have laid bare the challenges to be faced by some as well as how successful many will be. Further examinations for Year 13 students, as well as some public examinations for select classes, take place later this month. Parent Consultation evenings will help us build the essential partnership that will allow our examination cohorts to achieve their aspirations.

There are challenges ahead; I am firm believer that honest graft is rewarded and there is good in all of us. Nowhere is this more apparent than at Lincoln UTC where our fantastic students and great staff work together to achieve remarkable things.

Happy New Year!

Warm regards

Paul Batterbury
