“There is a very positive and respectful ethos in the sixth form, which is regarded by students as a harmonious community” - Ofsted, 2019
Our Sixth Form provides a specialist education for students wishing to pursue a future career in science, engineering, maths or technology. Post-16 outcomes are consistently strong and in the most recent A Level Performance Tables Lincoln UTC had the highest value added score in comparison to every other provider in Lincolnshire.
Small class sizes allow us to provide personalised support and intervention which leads to excellent results. Students have a mature and proactive attitude to learning and benefit from a calm and purposeful learning environment.
In Sixth Form students have more freedom than at Key Stage 4 and are allowed to leave site, both at lunchtime and during non-contact periods.
The Post-16 curriculum is based around the core STEM subjects. Approximately half of our students follow A Level programmes of study and the other half choose to complete a three A Level equivalent BTEC in engineering. Students can also choose to complete a combination of A level and vocational subjects.
